With the ever-changing times in the shipping industry, there is always the question; Will there be new jobs, or will the jobs change?
Friday, December 2, 2022, Alco Weeke, SkillSea technical project coordinator, presented the draft recommendation of SkillSea to the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee meeting. The Committee provides a permanent instrument promoting the dialogue between the social partners in the Maritime Sector at European level and amongst others for exchanging knowledge and information between social partners and the European Commission.
The conclusive day of the Naples Shipping Week saw the participation of Fabrizio Monticelli CEO of ForMare – National Shipping Hub in the panel “Human Factors Summit” during which he presented the European Project SkillSea – Future Proof Skills for the Maritime Sector. The participation to the Naples Shipping Week has represented a valuable opportunity for ForMare to present the project and its future steps.

Between 12-14 July Constanta Maritime University organised an ‘annual week event’. During this event cybersecurity experts from all over the world met to network, discuss and outline joint actions on maritime affairs and secure the blue economy. The conference was held together with the European Security and Defence College in Constanta, Romania.
